Feng Shui Home

Feng shui home principles apply for both houses and apartments, though many people fear that lofts, condos and suits are more exposed to bad chi. The one thing that differentiates houses and apartments in terms of feng shui home design is the presence and respectively the absence of the surrounding land. For houses this is one other environment to remedy and restore in terms of chi balance. In the case of the apartment, all the background control will be focused on the inside, with all the challenges that sharing walls brings. The exclusively interior feng shui home rules have to counteract the bad influence the noises, smells and vibes from neighbors have on the inhabitants of an apartment.

The feng shui home analysis further involves the investigation of the front and back structures as they are differentiated for houses. On the other hand apartments tend to follow the light source, looking towards windows, but the problem under such circumstances would be the entrance that is usually dark because it's located more towards the center of the building. Compensations do exist in the feng shui design of an apartment. You can attract more positive energy when you can make the choice of floor you want to live at, not to mention that the selection of the flat with the best view is one other top point to benefit from in terms of feng shui home arrangement.

Many of the feng shui home tips are misinterpreted leading to incorrect applications. For instance, many people avoid putting their aquarium in the kitchen since they consider water will extinguish the fire element specific to this house area. Such a principle has to be understood symbolically, particularly since the presence of the water tank in the kitchen could increase the prosperity of the home. Another false feng shui home tip is that of never keeping books in the bedroom since they will stimulate you and prevent good sleep. False!

Unfortunately, many other examples of false myths like the ones presented above are present in feng shui home guides that are bought and used by people all over the world. The next question here would be how to recognize what is good and what is wrong. The first word of advice is to use your intuition and not go for the rules that say "never" or "always". Real feng shui home applications will always take the individuality factor into consideration since every person is a unique entity and the generalities have to be particularized.
